Story county conservation halloween hikers

For 28 years, the Muscatine County Conservation Board has hosted a Halloween hike. Last year, tour guides took hikers through the woods in Saulsbury Bri The hike, which is sponsored by the Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board and Lime Creek Nature Center Foundation, is 6: 30 to 8: 30 p. m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Hikers will be led on a 40minute hike Story County Conservation invites the public to enjoy the 2012 Halloween Hike. Join us as we present" Iowa Unknowns" on Saturday, October 20.

Each hike will begin at 1: 30 p. m. and are expected to last no more than two hours. Halloween hikes Story County Conservation will hold hourlong" Back from the Dead" Halloween hikes on Saturday, Oct. 25, at McFarland Park, 180th St.northeast of Ames. The hikes will begin at 5: 30 p. m. and depart every 10 minutes until 8 p. m. Hikers will experience animals from long ago. Story County Conservation headquarters at McFarland Park houses our administrative offices and our Enviromental Education Program. The multipurpose room is available to rent for social gatherings as well as meetings.
